Fresno PD checkpoints net 14 arrests over Labor Day weekend

The Fresno Police Department arrested 14 drivers and impounded 35 vehicles during DUI/driver’s license checkpoints held over the Labor Day weekend. The location of the DUI/driver’s license checkpoints were not announced. According to the police department’s Facebook page, the checkpoints are “placed in locations based on collision statistics and frequency of DUI arrests affording the greatest opportunity for achieving drunk and drugged driving deterrence. Locations are chosen with safety considerations for the officers and the public.”
